Resting My Eyes on Lily grew from moments spent observing the quiet rhythm of a garden, where light softens every edge and even the smallest movement feels significant. Delicate botanical forms drift across translucent layers of sage, warm gray, and muted ivory, creating a composition that feels both present and dreamlike.

Rather than describing a particular flower, the painting offers the experience of pausing long enough to truly see one. It is less about lilies themselves than about the stillness they invite.

The painting became an exercise in restraint, allowing openness and light to carry as much weight as the painted forms themselves.
