Designer Notes
Untitled #128 brings a quiet botanical presence to a space through its limited palette and organic composition. Dark, delicate floral forms drift across a soft field of gray and white, creating movement without introducing a strong color story.
The handmade cotton rag paper adds another layer of visual interest. Made from the trimmings of recycled T-shirts, the paper has an irregular, tactile quality that becomes part of the work itself.
At 41.5 × 28 inches, the vertical format works beautifully as a statement piece in a hallway, bedroom, study, or quieter transitional space. Its neutral palette makes it particularly adaptable to interiors where texture, material, and subtle contrast are more important than color.
Collector Notes
There is something especially intimate about this group of works on handmade paper. I love the idea that the surface begins with something discarded and ordinary, then becomes the foundation for something entirely different.
For Untitled #128, I worked with ink, powdered graphite, and acrylic, allowing the materials to behave in their own ways. The dark botanical forms emerged against the pale surface almost as if they were appearing through mist.
The handmade cotton rag paper is made from the trimmings of recycled T-shirts, giving the work a physical history before the painting even begins. The result is a piece that feels quiet and delicate, but still carries considerable material presence.
